The Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club (KWSC) is one of the largest skating clubs in Canada. The club, which has existed for over 75 years, is based in the twin cities of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. The club operates programs as follows: Learn-to-Skate, STAR 1-5, STAR 6-Gold, competitive singles, pairs and dance, as well as synchro. Our skaters have represented KWSC at National and International championships.
The interested candidate should be registered as a National Skate Canada member. They must be able to teach strong skating fundamentals to all levels of skaters within our club. The candidate must be certified to teach STAR 1-5 test programs, as well as STAR 6-Gold.
Successful coach applicants will possess strong leadership skills and must be willing to work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate will be flexible with coaching hours, as our programs run seven (7) days per week and, at times, at various arenas across Kitchener-Waterloo.
