The Cambridge Skating Club, operates out of the Galt Gardens Arena September to April, and has been offering quality skating programs since 1951. Our Fall/Winter programs begin September 21, 2022.
We are looking for a CanSkate coach for the 2022/23 season that is enthusiastic, motivated and has a passion for coaching in a team environment. You will be available to join us for a minimum of 2 days per week on Monday and Friday, with occasional alternate days possible. We offer CanSkate programs on Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.
CanSkate Coach Qualifications:
- CanSkate Coach in Training or Certified
- Must be in good standing with Skate Canada
- Must be a registered coach with Skate Canada for the 2022/23 season
- Must have current first aid & police record check accepted by Skate Canada
- Completed the Skate Canada Code of Ethics
- Completed the Respect in Sport Activity Leader Training
Additional Qualities:
- Reliable and committed
- Able to work in a team environment with direction from our CanSkate Director
- Committed to deliver a high quality program in our “Exceeded Standard” rated program
- Have a love for skating and enjoy working with children and adults
- Have excellent communication skills
- Demonstrates commitment to developing skaters in a fun and positive environment
