As of April 16, 2020, all scheduled Assessment Days are cancelled until further notice. We understand that Assessment Days are an important part of a skater’s season. We will continue to monitor the situation and will inform our members once we are able to resume our regular schedule.
All registration for upcoming NCCP courses have been put on hold as of April 16, 2020. A revised calendar of NCCP courses will be created once there is more information about facility openings. Please continue to check back to the Skate Ontario website for updates.
We are saddened to announce that the 2020 Strength in Unity community event scheduled to take place June 13-14, 2020 at the Delta Conference Centre in Toronto has been cancelled. During this time of uncertainty, our members safety and well being are of the upmost importance to us. With the cancellation of all city-led events in Toronto from now until June 30, 2020, we felt it was in the best interest of our members to cancel the event.

Given the current state of COVID-19, we regret to inform you that Skate Ontario will be cancelling Sectionals Series #1 – Minto Summer Skate scheduled for July 23-26, 2020, Sectional Series #2 scheduled for August 13-16, 2020 and Sectional Series #3 – Kitchener -Waterloo scheduled for September 24-27, 2020 . This decision has been made in consultation with coaches about required preparation time for events and the continued inability to access ice in the province.
Skate Ontario is currently working on how this will impact the qualifying system, more details to follow in the coming weeks.
As a reminder, Skate Canada announced that due to the uncertainties with COVID-19, the National Summer Series will not be sanctioned for July and August of this year. Additionally, the Challenge Minimum score requirement will be removed for the 2020-2021 competitive season.
