The Oshawa Skating Club has been operating since 1938 offering a variety of programs providing opportunities for all skaters from 2.5 years to Adult to participate in skating for fun, fitness, and/or achievement. Our club has worked hard to provide an environment that is supportive and inclusive, plus we are fortunate to have an excellent professional NCCP certified coaching staff dedicated to teaching skaters to excel in the sport. The success of the club is also due to the dedication of volunteers who donate their time. The 2017/2018 season marked the club’s 80th Anniversary and to celebrate our membership put together a Skating Through the Decades ice show with special guests Jeffrey Buttle and Elvis Stojko. Hosted by club alumnae Don Jackson and Barb Underhill the show invited family, friends and skating enthusiast from all over the Durham Region and beyond to the Tribute Communities Centre. We are very proud of our history of success and we are also proud of our skaters that represent our future of excellence.
Off Ice Training
We currently skate out of 2 arenas during the Fall/Winter season. The Oshawa Skating Club’s home is the Campus Ice Centre (Rink #2) where we offer most of our programming from Sunday to Wednesday. Our other arena is Legends Centre (Pad #4) on Thursday evening. The schedule changes a bit for Spring programs, and for the past few years we have also offered Summer skating. Please visit our website for schedule info.
